MoCCA Fest!
Apr. 11th, 2011 12:59 pmThis weekend was MoCCA Fest!!! I went with Brian and
kittasaurusrex. We spent 5 hours on the exhibitor floor amassing a bunch of free comics and cards and stuff while also buying comics and other stuff.
The highlight of the day was finally meeting JEPH JACQUES!!!!!! OMG!!!! For those of you who have no idea who that is, he is the creator of one of my favorite Webcomics Questionable Content. I had previously written an entry about meeting some very awesome people through his live streaming of drawing his comic. So, when I met Jeph, after having a moment of squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee, I told him that, "if not for [his] streams, I would have never met this great lady next to me or all the other people I converse with on a daily basis." To which he said "That's awesome!" I also got to shake his hand.
I had him sign my Questionable Content volume 1 book. He drew Pintsize :-P Brian bought a QC Mug and a print (but not the one he did for MoCCA, that one Kitt bought).
Afterwards, we went to an Indian Restaurant on the opposite corner. The food was delicious, but we'll likely never go back there again for reasons I pointed out on Twitter.
Brian and I missed the train we wanted to catch by about 3 mins. Thankfully, we only had to wait an hour for the next one (had we taken the PJ line, we'd have had to wait 2 hours for the next one).
