My body is back to normal. At the end of July, I skipped my period. Fucking great. At first I just thought it was nothing...but when it didn't come for 2 weeks, I got very concerned. Thoughts of possibly being pregnant went through my head, but I quickly dissmissed them due to the fact that I had had a normal cycle between the last time I had sex and the cycle I was supposed to get on July 31st. My body kept playing tricks on me making me feel as though I either had or was getting my period (cramps, bloating, tenderness, excess discharge...) So, I made an appointment with my gynocologist...hadn't been there in a really long time. He sent me on a quest for blood work. I had to give 2 viles of blood for 4 tests.

I didn't get results until a week later. Everything came back normal which meant I was in fact not pregnant, but that also meant that they hadn't a clue as to what the fuck was wrong with me.

Finally, I got my period yesterday. For the first time in my life, I was overjoyed about having my period. Thirty-four days after it was supposed to come, I got it. Unfortunately, today, my body having realized it hadn't bled in so long, decided to give me the worst cramps I have ever experienced, EVER!! They have been down-right crippling!!! Midol didn't even help. And what's worse is that the cramping hasn't even lessened at all!!!! ::Whimpers::

That is all.

Thank you Toby :) You are giving me this information because unlike most males, you are actually very well informed about stuff, even if it pertains to the opposite sex :-P ::Huggles::

Well it pays to be informed if you're seeing someone and suddenly they start panicing because things don't go as planned. Most of the time it's something like a cold or flu causes a delay of a week or more, and the stress only makes it longer. But 34 days is definately just a total miss. Back in ye olden days the average was only about 4-5 a year, not 12 like now. As far as I know modern regularity has been attributed to changes in diet for most of the population over the last couple centuries, much like the earlier onset of puberty these days.

P.S. If you skip again you may want to consider having your hormone levels checked, as well as a TSH for thyroid. It could be a symptom of another problem.

That was what the blood tests were for. :-P
