My Weekend

bonnie_rocksI had a really great weekend :)
Saturday: Brian and I went up to Sylvan Lake because Brian's extended family on his mom's side wanted us to go to their lake house. It's located about 30 mins North of where they live. Originally Brian and I were going to drive ourselves, but Brian's Nerve was acting up again, so I drove us to Huntington and then his parents drove the rest of the way. The Lake House is actually located in a Bungalow Colony. I didn't know you could own a bungalow.
I finally got to meet Brian's cousin Kurt. He's a pretty cool guy. I'm hoping he comes to more family functions.
Brian's aunt and uncle gave us an engagement gift :) YAY!! And we had tasty foods and stuff.
Sunday: 20 years ago, my friend Cindy got a severe 3rd degree burn on her arm from using a deep fryer. Because of this, she had to quit her job and therefore could not afford to attend I-CON. She ended up volunteering and the rest is history. Had she not volunteered, none of us would have been in her life.
To celebrate this, she and her husband George threw a Deep Fry party. Sooooo much fun! I got to catch up with a bunch of people including![[livejournal.com profile]](https://www.dreamwidth.org/img/external/lj-userinfo.gif)
jbadger, and most importantly John Sheehan. :) Good people, good food, good times! :-D
