I never felt the need to see the film: Dawn Taylor warned me off of it when she complained how ill-used Ginnifer Goodwin was in it as Cash's first wife. "She's gorgeous, but because she's heavy she's portrayed as a joyless frump who has the gall to be mad at Cash cheating on her." And since I've seen Walk the Line, that's taken care of my need to see biopics (at least music biopics) for years.
Also! When Walk the Line was about to come out, I saw a promo clip about it and Cash as a preview for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. All sorts of country, rock, hard rock and punk musicians (including Henry Rollins) lauding Cash for his contributions to music and pop culture, and a guy sitting near me said "All these people like Johnny Cash? All he did was that twangy bullshit."
