My 1st Week of Class at a Glance

Ok, so, my 1st week of class for Spring semester has come and gone. Here are some highlihgts:

Monday: ACSM is on fire. Welcome back to school.

Tuesday: On the way into Queens, a man in my train car decided today would be a good day to get arrested. Spent a Half hour in Babylon before we moved. I got to my 9:15am class 5 mins late.

Wednesday: While waiting for my mom to pick me up from Patchogue train station, Jehovah's Witnesses decided to offer me some reading material. No thank you!!

Thursday: Dance class of DOOOOOOOOM!! I used muscles that I haven't used in 10 years. Sooooo sore from that. But I felt great afterwards :)

Friday: On the way into Queens, a little passed the Mineola train station, the switch to change tracks broke. No, really. It was broken!!!! So, after a bit of time, they had us travel to East Willeston (which is east of where we were) on the Oyster Bay line. Apparently that was the closest place to go to switch tracks. Got into Jamaica at 9am, 45 mins later than when we were supposed to get in. I got to class at 9:35am. Sooooo annoyed.

When I got back to Patchogue I had two choices: Wait 30 mins for an unreliable bus, or walk home. I chose the latter. Today's journey was 4miles because instead of walking up East Main St. to 101 to Hospital road, I decided to go up 112 to Barton (by way of Clark and Washington) to Hospital. Took me an hour and a half to get home. Not bad considering I was wearing my black boots that aren't good for walking that long of a distance (I have blisters from them!).

I was wondering what that commotion was on Monday. I was driving past and it looked like the whole police and fire departments were there. The ACSM.. is that the gym? I'm trying to remember what building that was.. gah.. it's been years since I've went there.

Ohh.. I wish I could take a dance class for credit. Have fun with that!

Were they able to save the building? Or are your classes being cancelled and everyone gets automatic A+'s?

LoL...What actually happened was they are working on the building...doing construction, and there was some gas leak or something to that effect.
